Other common fish you might find in Lake Isabella are Bluegills, Carp, Sucker Fish (mostly in the river) and Squawfish or Pikeminnows (for those who are politically correct).

Squawfish or Pikeminnow Squawfish are abundant in Lake Isabella and the lower Kern River. They grow huge and look like the ugly cousin of the Northern Pike
